About this deal

It's just a few days until Christmas and to finally put a stop to her nagging mother's matchmaking plans, Emily has convinced her that she's already married! I don't really have any family or friends to share this with, but I'm so happy and excited that I just need to tell someone - even strangers on the internet.

The lyrics paint a disturbing and emotionally charged narrative that challenges societal expectations and portrays the dark side of marriage. She just wants to get through Christmas pretending she has a husband and then tell her mum it's all over. It was funny and entertaining, but also surprisingly sweet and emotional, and from the very first page I couldn’t put it down.Find support, ask questions, swap stories, and follow brides planning real weddings here on Weddingbee. After all, with a title like ‘Marry Me Tomorrow’, how can anyone let that go by them without reading it? As more of the story unfolded I kept giggling because as readers, we were aware of the secret and her mum wasn’t, so ‘watching’ Emily and her beau trying to match their stories was absolutely hilarious. And when her excited mum announces that she’s coming to stay, Emily can think of only one man to play the part: gorgeous ex-soldier, Sam.

Emily needs to Marry and fast, her mother is expecting her husband to be there at Christmas but there's a problem, she's not actually married. The lyrics describe the partner coming home and harming the narrator ("take me to the shed, pump me full of lead, kiss the walls with red"). When you think you know how its going to go it doesnt something comes up so its a surprising ending. Marry Me Tomorrow caught me as an out-of-the-normal premise in a slew of similar holiday reads, so why not give it a go, I thought. I’ll admit, I surrendered to this book and became its page mistress after reading the first couple of pages! Carla Burgess works her wonders and has the reader become immersed in a world that is so realistic you think you are watching a reality tv show.

A delightful Christmas read that will pull at your heartstrings and make you believe in happy endings.I've rented out a movie theater that we're going to tomorrow, which he thinks is just part of his Christmas gift/date. For all ebook purchases, you will be prompted to create an account or login with your existing HarperCollins username and password. The lyrics reflect a distorted portrayal of domesticity, where the narrator questions the commitment they are about to make.
