My one I've found has been a little bit temperamental on the threads, so maybe it's just a little bit of manufacturing swarf or something so try on this one. The aluminium formers are marked with bending angles of 30 45- and 90-degree offsets allowing for accurate bending. They give an amazing finish to the pipe and are so much easier to use than the standard pipe menders and formers. The 15mm pipe bender also known as tube bender is an essential part of the toolkit for any heating or plumbing engineer.

I've heard a few people say, oh well what about the Former, it's plastic whatever, but it's replaceable. The heavy duty machines consist of a former that the pipe feeds into then using the lever, helps bend it carefully around the former. Ease of use all depends on your personal strength but I find it excellent that I can remain in a kneeling position and use the bender with no problem.Please ensure you have the necessary ability and equipment (if required) to move the items into your property. This set comes with two extension pieces that you just screw into the bottom of your 15 mm bender if needed. A pipe bender applies to the pipe by the former as it passes through the guides to form the desired angle. Not bothered that each bender is seperate just saves the hassle of having to find the guides each time.

So light in the hand and with the long handled version that I bought it is very easy to pull a bend and match it up to the pre marked angles on the guide. So straight out of the box, you get the pipe bender, the Velcro strap for storage, two extension bars that easily screw into the end of the bender to make pulling a bend just that little bit easier.The build quality of these benders is fantastic, from the perfect casting of the formers to the excellent grips on the handles, everything is perfect.

Best purchase by far when it comes to pipe bendera, had roberg, hilmor but these new style monuments are f***ing awesome. These are at the upper end of what I expect to pay but I'd rather keep my money in the UK so I am happy to support British manufacturers. If you compare to the Bahco 15mm bender at 3x the cost, this is great value for money, doesn't do 180 degree bends but looks just the same if you do two 90 degree bends close together. It takes a bit of getting used to like all new tools but once you get it they're as easy to use as the old benders.The Monument Pipe Bender can also be used with the MON2626 2626M Bending Arm Extension allowing for easier bending of 22mm pipe. I get in a right mess, like probably a lot of people who don't do it day in, day out, with conventional benders. Best purchase by far when it comes to pipe benders, had roberg, hilmor but these new style monuments are f***ing awesome. They do exactly what they say, they're very light weight, they pull a tighter bend because the former is actually a lot smaller. However, when I'm working on a job where I've just got 15 mm, it is a bit handier carrying just a small set rather than me big clumpy bending guide.
