About this deal

It is the first album by the band recorded without guitarist Steve Clark, who died in 1991, although most songs were written and partially demoed before his death, they were re-recorded solo by Phil Collen in 1991-1992. Def Leppard remain one of only five rock groups who can claim two separate original 10 million plus selling albums in the US, the others are The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Van Halen. Fans would have been forgiven for worrying whether Def Leppard could survive Steve Clark’s loss, yet when Adrenalize was released, on March 31, 1992, they could breathe a collective sigh of relief. Yet regardless of the time spent in the studio, Def Leppard’s albums never seem especially labored or overwrought. The "deluxe edition" will feature deluxe digi--pack gatefold packaging with expanded booklets containing rare and previously unseen photographs, comprehensive sleeve-notes telling the story behind the album and includes images of rare single covers and memorabilia from the period.

Having sold over 65 million albums worldwide since their debut release in 1980 and proved themselves one of rock music’s hardest working and consistently powerful live bands (playing to over 50 million fans in the last 15 years alone), this timely deluxe expanded edition is a must for any discerning music fan. The album featured its fair shares of lascivious rockers (“Make Love Like A Man,” “Personal Property,” “Tear It Down”), but they were tempered with soaring, radio-friendly anthems such as “Heaven Is” and the glorious widescreen ballad “Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad. Indeed, the album would go on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide, remaining Def Leppard's last studio album to achieve major mainstream success. This was also the band's first album since 1980's On Through the Night not to be produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange. Keen to reassure fans they were back for good, Def Leppard recruited versatile former Dio/ Whitesnake guitarist Vivian Campbell to partner Phil Collen, and set out on an 18-month world tour, kicking off in the wake of the band’s much-acclaimed appearance at the star-studded Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at London’s Wembley Stadium, in April ’92.

The deluxe edition features a re-mastered version of the original album with a bonus disc of rare, live, acoustic and demo versions. The album featured huge singles such as "Let’s Get Rocked" and "Make Love Like A Man" and debuted at No 1 in both the UK and USA (and went on to sell over 7 million copies). Salut vient d acheter , toute la collection des CD , DVD, est photo encadré du groupe def léopard est franchement c est génial, je suis très contente de mais achat . White Lightning" is dedicated to the memory of Clark, [7] who has writing credits on six of the album's ten tracks.

No mean feat for a hard rock/metal album released while grunge superstars such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam were at the height of their fame. Adrenalize is the fifth studio album by English rock band Def Leppard, released on 31 March 1992 through Mercury Records. The CD version featured previous B-Side 'Miss You In A Heartbeat' and future B-Side of Heaven Is 'She's Too Tough' as extra tracks. From the first, this was a band that gloried in the power of heavy metal’s musical gestures — the towering majesty of a power riff, the momentary freedom of a guitar break, the exhilaration of a singer’s scream — and as the group has grown, its ability to manipulate that vocabulary has expanded to the point that its songs have become mini-masterpieces of aural impact. Had Massive Hits Lets get Rocked,Make Love Like a Man,Heaven is and Have You ever needed someone so bad. It's like with Pink Floyd: to me, Adrenalize was our Wish You Were Here and Hysteria was our Dark Side of the Moon. He co-wrote six of the songs and his guitar parts were played by Phil Collen as well as his own making this the only album the band recorded as a four piece. The album was produced by Def Leppard and Mike Shipley with Robert "Mutt" Lange as executive producer. And there are hooks of every sort on Adrenalize, from broad strokes like the gloriously harmonized chorus of “Heaven Is” to ear-catching details like the little yodel Elliott slips into “Personal Property.

Because truth be told, it’s far easier to prop up several couplets of self-revelation with a few heavy-metal riffs than it is to turn an idea as commonplace as romantic desire into a song as memorable as “Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad. Yet, after Allen courageously mastered a customized kit, Leppard played on, with Hysteria living up to its name, selling a whopping 25 million copies worldwide and spawning no less than seven hit singles.Spawning seven singles, four of them – " Let's Get Rocked", " Make Love Like a Man", " Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad", and " Stand Up (Kick Love into Motion)" – were major hits. Miles had his eyelids sellotaped open and his head stuck to a serving hatch while the picture was taken. The album was recorded following the tragic death of guitarist Steve Clark--with Phil Collen recording all guitar parts--and dedicated to his memory. The band included a re-recording of Hysteria B-Side 'Tear It Down' due to it's popularity after the 1989 MTV Awards. Yes, not as good as either Pyromania or Hysteria but it does have some absolutely classic Def Leppard songs, some which do hold up to some of those mentioned albums.

Clark was involved in writing six of the songs on the album, [8] but was given an ultimatum over his alcoholism in September 1990, and put on a six-month leave of absence. Def Leppard had faced long delays, and the challenge of drummer Rick Allen losing his arm while making their previous album, Hysteria, and while trying to follow up the success, they also faced the prospect of doing so with a different producer, as Robert John "Mutt" Lange was already working with Bryan Adams. At the same time guitarist Steve Clark had been suffering from alcohol addiction since 1989, spending six sessions in rehab. In fairness, the band’s tardiness isn’t entirely the product of foot dragging, as the death of guitarist Steve Clark undoubtedly slowed this album (and doubled fellow guitarist Phil Collen’s workload) even more than the loss of drummer Rick Allen’s arm complicated the completion of Hysteria. Cumulatively, all this activity led to Adrenalize yielding further multi-platinum rewards for this seemingly invincible quintet blessed with an inherent knack for facing down the odds and coming up triumphant. Nor is Adrenalize, with its insistence on intensely tuneful, unrepentantly frivolous material, likely to change that.
